Adelaide defender Kyle Cheney has suffered another injury setback, as a hamstring complaint will keep him out of this weekend's SANFL trial.
Cheney trained with the Crows on Thursday in preparation for the trial this weekend, but pulled up sore and was subsequently ruled out of the match. He will be assessed further in the coming days.
The injury adds to a frustrating pre-season for Cheney, as he's carried a groin injury with him through from the end of last season.
He missed the entire JLT Community Series before playing in an SANFL trial two weeks ago, which still remains as his only match practice so far this season.
After inconsistent stints with Melbourne and Hawthorn early in his career, Cheney joined Adelaide in 2015 and had his best year to date last season, playing in all 24 games for the Crows.
