Blake Acres is still yet to reach a new deal to remain at Fremantle, with the Docker at the centre of heavy trade speculation, per reports from SENโ€™s Sam Edmund.

The 26-year-old is uncontracted beyond the this season and has played 18 games for Fremantle thus far in 2022, averaging 21.3 disposals per game.

Having begun his career at St Kilda, where he spent six seasons, Acres is now speculated to be on the move to a third AFL club as he and the Dockers fail to come to terms on a new deal.

Speaking on SENโ€™s Whateley,ย Edmund revealed that the two parties are still no closer to signing a new contract, despite one reportedly already being on the table.

โ€œBlake Acres is a player thatโ€™s been put on the radar of quite a few clubs,โ€ Edmund said.

โ€œI think North Melbourne might be another one as well.

โ€œHe has been offered a contract for next year at Fremantle that isnโ€™t really to his liking, he might even be asked to take less.

โ€œHe was pretty well paid when he first came across and took a while to get going at Fremantle. Thatโ€™s turned around this year.

โ€œWhether heโ€™d entertain another move back over to the eastern seaboard, whether itโ€™d be Carlton, whether itโ€™d be North Melbourne, might be a stretch, who knows.

โ€œThe bottom line is theyโ€™re a fair way apart at the moment, player and club.โ€

AFL Media's Callum Twomey reported that Carlton are interested in obtaining the services of the in-form wingman, while he is also believed to be on the radar of North Melbourne.

Fremantle are predicted to be big players in this year's trade period, with Demon Luke Jackson reportedly a target of the Dockers.
