Port Adelaide have confirmed the fears that forward Sam Powell-Pepper has suffered an ACL injury, while two more players are also out for the remainder of the season.
Powell-Pepper suffered a knee injury in Saturday night's loss to Brisbane, coming from the ground and failing to return to the field.
Coach Ken Hinkley revealed post-game that the club suspected the fiery forward had suffered an ACL, with subsequent scans confirming the dreaded news.
"It's such a disappointing outcome for Sam, and for the club," Power's Head of Medical Services Tim O'Leary said.
"Sam is so courageous and hard-working, and was incredibly diligent with his previous knee rehab. There is no doubt he will approach this rehab with his usual high level of commitment, attacking it in the same way he attacks the footy."
The Power have also revealed Dante Visentini (ankle) and Esava Ratugolea (hamstring) will also miss the remainder of the season due to injuries sustained at the Gabba.
Visentini was subbed out of the match due to a syndesmosis injury from a ruck contest, while Ratugolea was also ruled out of returning with another hamstring concern.
"It's really unfortunate to lose Esava and Dante at this point in the year,โ O'Leary said.
"The silver lining is that there will be no impact on their pre-seasons, which gives them the best chance to prepare for 2026."
The trio join Todd Marshall (Achilles), Tom Cochrane (foot) and Xavier Walsh (shoulder) in being ruled out for the rest of the season at the South Australian club.
