Overall:

Hayes is considered the best ruck prospect in this year's draft pool.

His tap work is brilliant and often gives his midfielders first use of the ball. He also showed impressive versatility this season, moving into the forward line with great results.

His best return up forward came in the TAC Cup, when he booted six goals early in the season against Gippsland and clunked plenty of marks.

He can also find the ball around the ground, collecting 23 disposals and 41 hitouts against Sandringham.
