Overview

Ballenden has played most of his junior career in the forward line but spent plenty of time in defence during the Under-18 Championships. His best position still looks to be in the forward line, however. Ballenden's biggest strength lies in his kicking, recording a perfect 30 out of 30 in the kicking test (the only player to do so) and 25 out of 30 in the goalkicking test.

He is a member of the Brisbane Lions academy and with Josh Schache looking for a move back to Victoria, Ballenden could slot right into the Brisbane forward line.
