The official All-Australian team was announced at a function in Melbourne on Thursday night.
The team included a whopping nine debutants, with Toby Greene, Max Gawn, Jeremy McGovern, Tom Lynch, Dane Rampe, Rory Sloane, Marcus Bontempelli, Dustin Martin and Luke Parker all named in the side for the first time.
Sydney dominated the team, with five players making the cut, while Adelaide and Geelong contributed three players to the side.
Geelong's Joel Selwood was named captain of the side for a third time, with only North Melbourne great Wayne Carey (four times) being named captain more times Selwood, in 1993, 1998, 1999 and 2000.
