Overall

McGrath is a powerful and explosive midfielder who loves the contest and reads the game well. The Vic Metro co-captain can also play in defence, where he played parts of the season for Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup.

He has a great ability to play in a variety of positions, and seems to thrive under pressure, making him an important player when the chips are down for his team.

McGrath's competitive instincts and willingness to take the game on will particularly appeal to recruiters.

His only knock is is size, standing at only 179cm, and his occasionally inconsistent kicking efficiency.
