Young forward Lachlan Gollant has inked a new two-year contract extension with the club, set to remain a Crow until at least 2024.

Gollant has played seven games for Adelaide this season after one game in his debut year in 2021, kicking eight goals throughout his short career.

Justin Reid, Adelaide's General Manager of List Management and Strategy, said Gollant had showed plenty of promise across his time in both the AFL and SANFL.

“Lachy has shown he is an exciting forward who jumps at the footy, can take a contested mark and is a proficient shot at goal,” Reid said.

“The pandemic meant he had very limited opportunities to play in 2020 and last year he had to overcome early-season finger surgery but eventually demanded his AFL debut through strong performances in the SANFL.

“He has worked hard to add size and strength to his frame and this year has shown he is capable of performing at the level so we look forward to him building on that.”

Gollant thanked the club for their faith and said he was looking forward to improving his game.

“I’m thankful of the Club for having faith in me, the security provides me with a good opportunity to continue to improve my game and hopefully push for selection again soon,” he said.

“I’ve felt very comfortable since moving to Adelaide, I love the city and its people, and the culture we are building as a Club is a good one so I look forward to contributing to that in the future.”
