Week one of the AFLW finals series has officially been confirmed, with a Friday night blockbuster between Melbourne and Adelaide set to get the finals action underway.

Minor premiers Brisbane will host Richmond at Metricon Stadium on Saturday afternoon, while the first elimination final between Geelong and North Melbourne will be held on Saturday night at GMHBA.

The final game of the first week will see Collingwood take on the Western Bulldogs in a do or die clash, scheduled for Victoria Park on Sunday afternoon.

Season seven will mark the first time that the AFLW finals series has featured eight teams, following the expansion to an 18 team competition this season.
