Giants veterans Heath Shaw and Shane Mumford have signed one-year extensions with the club.

Shaw, 33, will enter his 17th season, having played 308 games for Collingwood and the Giants.

Mumford will extend his career into a 12th season, coming out of retirement this past season after sitting out the 2018 campaign.

โ€œWe didnโ€™t hesitate to offer both Heath and Shane new contracts given what they were able to achieve this season,โ€ Giants list manager Jason McCartney told the club website.

โ€œWe firmly believe they have more quality football in them and are looking forward to the pair of them helping us get to where we want to go as a footy club.โ€

Additionally has been Dylan Buckley has been let go, while Tom Sheridan, Jake Stein and Zach Sproule will be delisted with the intention of being re-drafted.

McCartney thanked Buckley for his service to the club.

โ€œDylan was only at the GIANTS for a short time but made a big impact, particularly off the field,โ€ McCartney said.

โ€œHe didnโ€™t get to show us his best football but certainly leaves the club having made a considerable contribution to our culture.

โ€œHeโ€™s already started to forge a successful media career while in the football system and we have no doubt heโ€™ll continue to go from strength to strength in the next chapter of his life.โ€
