Port Adelaide has confirmed promising trio Todd Marshall, Xavier Duursma and Kane Farrell have all inked contract extensions with the club past the end of 2022.

Both Marshall and Duursma are now penned to Alberton Oval until the end of the 2024 season, with Farrell having added another year to his contract and now locked in until 2023.

The trio have all shown glimpses of what's to come at Port Adelaide, with Ken Hinkley boasting a promising core group of players for the future.

Marshall has played 55 games for the Power since making his debut in 2017, booting 57 goals throughout his short tenure with the club.

Duursma has been able to add plenty of edge to Port Adelaide's midfield and attack across his 46 games, 20 of which came in his maiden campaign in 2019.

Farrell has been a reliable role player for Hinkley across the past four years, with injuries having curtailed his impact and exposure.

“Todd, Xavier and Kane are a big part of the young group we have built our side around,” Power list manager Jason Cripps said on the announcement.

“Todd had his most consistent season in 2021, playing all but three games, and he continues to play an important role in our forward line.

“Xavier’s year was interrupted by a serious knee injury but we know his running power and while we have had a good taste of what he is capable of, we think there is plenty of upside to come.

“Kane was on track for a career-best year before he suffered a ruptured ACL in Round 16. We know he’s an elite user of the ball and at 22, he still has plenty of really good footy in front of him.”

The trio of re-signings add to a strong 2021 of retentions for the Power, with Riley Bonner (2023), Martin Frederick (2022), Robbie Gray (2022), Sam Hayes (2023), Tom Jonas (2023), Jed McEntee (2022) and Steven Motlop (2022) having all inked new deals this year.
