Former Essendon great Tim Watson has revealed his best ever full forwards... with some exceptions.
The triple premiership Bomber excluded star spearheads Tony Lockett, Jason Dunstall and Gary Ablett Sr. due to their grand status.
Watson also left out Lance Franklin, Wayne Carey, Matthew Richardson and Stephen Kernahan because he considers them general forwards.
Speaking on SEN Breakfast,ย Watson explained that he opted for pure full forwards.
โIf I think full forward, I think of a Modra-type player as that 100 per cent pure-type full forward,โ Watson toldย SEN Breakfast.
โI'd have (Matthew) Lloyd, (Tony) Modra โฆ and Brendan Fevola I've gone with. He (Fevola) averaged 3.1 goals โฆ kicked 623 (goals).
โA little wayward โฆ but he didn't play in great teams either.
โYou imagine him in a great team, had he played at Essendon under (Kevin) Sheedy โฆ he may have kicked more goals than Matty Lloyd.โ
