Richmond son of a gun Maurice Rioli Junior will make his AFL debut this weekend with the teenager named for the Tigers as they take on North Melbourne.

The Tigers will unleash the exciting forward as they bid to keep their season alive and pinch the final spot in the eight.

Damien Hardwick said that Rioli's ability to pressure the ball and create down forward were attributes that will excite fans at Tigerland.

“He just brings a chaos mentality up forward,” Hardwick said.

“His chase pressure and all that is very much like Daniel (Rioli) when he first started, it’s hard to believe he is probably quicker than Daniel, to be fair.

“He has got some areas of his game that he needs to improve but he has got some incredible strengths that he brings as well. But if he does play that’s what we will be looking forward to.”

Rioli has laid 14 tackles in the last two weeks in the VFL showing his ability to put pressure on opposition defences.
