Goalkicking is an art that very few can perfect on a consistent basis.

We’ve taken a look at the numbers to identify who is the most accurate and inaccurate in front of the big sticks in the league this season.

A player had to have taken a minimum of 10 shots at goal to be included.

TOP 10 MOST ACCURATE GOALKICKERS

Western Bulldogs spearhead Josh Bruce currently leads the AFL in accuracy, kicking 8.2 from 10 shots at goal with an 80 per cent clip.

Essendon’s Jake Stringer comes in at second, kicking 10.3 from 13 shots at goal at a 75 per cent clip.

Coming in at third and fourth is GWS pair Jeremy Cameron and Jeremy Finlayson – both kicking 9.3 from 12 shots on goal with a 75 per cent accuracy.

Rounding out the top five is GWS livewire Toby Greene, kicking 8.3 from 11 shots with a at 72.7 per cent rate.

TOP 10 MOST INACCURATE GOAL KICKERS 

Collingwood’s Jordan De Goey is currently the least accurate kick at goal after five rounds of action. He has kicked a dismal 2.8 from 10 shots at goal for 20 per cent accuracy.

Brisbane’s Hugh McCluggage comes in second in the inaccuracy table, kicking 3.9 from 12 shots at a 25 per cent rate.

North Melbourne’s Aaron Hall is currently the third least accurate kick for goal, kicking 3.7 from 10 shots going at a 30 per cent rate.

Melbourne’s Bayley Fritsch comes in at fourth, kicking 4.7 from 11 shots at an accuracy rate of 36.4 per cent.

Rounding out the top five is Brisbane goal sneak Lincoln McCarthy, who has kicked 4.6 from 10 shots, going at a 40 per cent rate.
