The Lions went one better than 2019 - they managed to win a huge final over the Tigers before going out in the preliminary final, a home one of that.

They were unable to capitalise on a once in a lifetime opportunity, the grand final was played on their home deck and they were unable to participate.

A year littered with poor goal kicking, the Lions are primed to challenge for the flag again in 2021 but will need to make drastic improvements in front of the big sticks to win it all.

Qualifying Final vs Richmond: The Lions had the crowd behind them and looked destined for the grand final after they managed to defeat the reigning champions in emphatic style. They put their foot down in the second half and were far too good.
