The AFL want the players be avoid all contact with people outside their football club once the 2020 season resumes on June 11.

This is one of the many conditions sent to clubs in a 40-page document ahead of the restart date, as revealed by 7NEWS.

Additional rules include players and staff only leaving the house absolutely necessary, including to buy food, for welfare reasons or for essential exercise โ€“ which does not include golf.

Family and friends will be allowed to visit though, as a matter of welfare.

Players will be tested twice a week for COVID-19, including a test 24 hours before travelling to games.

Players who are not selected to play will not be able to attend matches and clubs will only be allowed 26 staff to be present. Only six people will be allowed to be in the coaches box at any one time.

High-fives and post game handshakes are also on hold as the AFL have black banned those actions.

GWS captain Stephen Coniglio has faith in the playing groups ability to follow the rules outlined by the AFL.

โ€œYou donโ€™t want to be the player that slips up, let alone the player that costs everyone else,โ€ Coniglio told ABCโ€™s Offsiders.

โ€œMore than ever this AFL season will be won by the team that has the best discipline, and is the most resilient.โ€
