Carlton was reportedly offered Port Adelaide co-captain Ollie Wines a couple of weeks ago, although the Blues decided against pursuing the 25-year-old.

According to the Herald Sun, Wines' camp asked Carlton to consider making a play for the midfielder, in a bid to pit Wines alongside Carlton star Patrick Cripps.

However, the Blues are set to continue on the quick, talented small forward path, with Tom Papley, Eddie Betts and Jack Martin all set to be brought in.

Power officials have told the Herald Sun Wines is not up for trade, and is contracted through until 2022.

Wines played just 12 games in 2019, and has played 141 games for Port Adelaide.
