Collingwood forward Jordan De Goey has suffered an abdomen problem, with the 24-year-old set to miss a week of pre-season training.

According to The Age's Michael Gleeson, De Goey was reportedly in some discomfort during an intra club match earlier this week and has sustained a mild strain.

The setback is the latest in a long history of injuries for the star goal-sneak, having suffered a finger injury in 2020 that ruled him out for seven matches.

The former first-round selection adds to Nathan Buckley's headaches, with young pair Will Kelly and Reef McInnes sustaining calf and finger injuries respectively.
