Collingwood blew a 50-point lead on Sunday, playing out a thrilling draw at the MCG with Adelaide.

Despite the huge deficit early in the third term, the Crows launched an incredible comeback to be in sight of a remarkable victory, before the Magpies manage to kick away again, only for Adelaide to dig deep once more.

But young forward star, Mitch McGovern delivered the final blow to the Pies, taking a brilliant pack mark with just three seconds remaining, before kicking a goal after the siren to tie the game.

Now it has emerged the Pies are interested in luring the out-of-contract forward to the Holden Centre.

Collingwood's forward woes have been well documented this season, as Nathan Buckley has had trouble finding a key tall to complement youngster Darcy Moore.

The Pies have also been linked to Sydney tall, Sam Reid, who is also out of contract and channel Seven's Mark Steven's reports Collingwood will make a play for both Reid and McGovern at season's end.

McGovern, 22, burst onto the scene last season, kicking 32 goals after making his debut in round one. He has so far kicked 10 goals in eight games this season.

Fremantle and West Coast, where his brother Jeremy plays, has also been linked with a move for the West Australian.
