Richmond legend Kevin Bartlett has pleaded with the gods to look down favourably on the Tigers after another heartbreaking loss.

Damian Hardwick's men suffered another loss in the dying seconds, after Jeremy Cameron kicked the Giants into the lead for the first time with under a minute remaining.

The loss sees Richmond loss three matches in a row by under a goal for the second time since 2012, and have moved to 5-4 on the season after starting 5-0.

"The question has to be asked. Why do the football Gods hate Richmond?" Bartlett said.

What have the Tigers done to be treated in such a harsh way?

Why are Richmond supporters subjected to heartbreaking defeats? They are good people – kind hearted and thoughtful.

For 37 years, they have kept the faith with a smile on their faces despite no premiership.

They have joined up as members, swelling the ranks to nearly 75,000 and attend games in big numbers, so why should a rugby league convert to Aussie rules in Karmichael Hunt kick a winning goal against them after the siren?

Why agree to ninth-placed Carlton winning a final against a bonafide Richmond outfit?

Why does Fremantle’s David Mundy keep kicking goals to pinch games off the Tigers at the death?

Why did the Gods allow Jeremy Cameron to snatch victory on the weekend for the Giants – a Johnny come lately club, as opposed to a heartland club like the Tigers?

And why did the footy Gods invent video replay to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory to humiliate 'Dimma' and his faithful players.

What sacrifice does the club have to make to break this evil spell for enough is enough?

Surely the footy gods must have a heart, so I'm begging you please show some love to the famous yellow and black.

I'm KB that's my take."
