Kane Cornes has made his big predictions for the 2020 season on SEN.

The former Port star believes Carlton's Patrick Cripps will benefit from his club winning more games to win the Brownlow Medal.

The Blues finished 17th last year with seven wins, but showed improvement under new coach David Teague, going 6-5 after he took over.

“I think Carlton wins some more games and he will be the star of the show in there.”

He believes the Demons will be the biggest improver and Brisbane will be the biggest slider.

Cornes was invited to a Lions training session earlier in the pre-season after declaring he thought they would fail to back up their breakout 2019 campaign.

And despite being impressed by their training standards, the 2004 premiership star is sticking to his guns.

“They’re going to go from second in the home-and-away season to missing the eight," he said.

"History would say one team from the top four misses finals the next year, I think it is Brisbane.”
