SEN have made another huge change to their on-air line-up, with Mark Fine sacked from the sports station.

After spending the past 15 years at the station, Fine received a phone call on Monday afternoon and was told his fate, with the search for his replacement now on.

Fine hosted the 7pm-12am evening shift each night and also had a program on Sunday morning, and told the Herald Sun while he wasn't happy with the decision, he respects the choice the station has made.

“I wouldn’t have an ego if I didn’t think it was the wrong call, but I respect their right to make the decision,” he told the Herald Sun on Tuesday.

“I’m looking forward to the next challenge.”

CrocMedia boss Craig Hutchison is now on the look-out for Fine's replacement, with his successor the final change set to be made to SEN new look line-up.

A new one-hour show has also been confirmed by the station, with Sam McClure to host a spot between 6-7pm.

Fine now joins David Schwarz, Mark Allen and Mark Robinson in leaving the station, with Gerard Whateley the biggest name walking through the doors for the first time.

Speaking to the Herald Sun following his sacking, Fine said he would remain a fan of the station's and wouldn't hold the decision against anyone.

“KB and I were the only originals on the station, we were there for 15 years,” Fine said.

“I think they can’t play mates, the board was brought in to make changes and I didn’t have a contract.

“I reckon they’ve made a blue, at night you are talking one on one to the listeners and you become part of their lives.

“But I love the station, and I love the game and I will remain a fan. I’m listening to it right now.”
