Fremantle have made their final list lodgement ahead of the AFL Draft, with veteran midfielder Nick Suban informed he would not be offered a contract for next season.

Suban has been with the Dockers for the past nine seasons, and has played 156 games for Fremantle since being selected with the 24th pick in the 2008 National Draft.

“Nick’s achieved a great deal at this club over the past nine years and to reach 150 games is a testament to his ability and dedication as a player,” Fremantle's General manager of football operations Chris Bond told fremantlefc.com.au.

“The fans saw first-hand how hard Nick worked on the field, and he worked just as hard at training and behind the scenes.

“He has been a highly valued member of our playing group and we wish Nick and wife Bianca all the best for the future.”

Suban was awarded with Life Membership by the club at their best and fairest function earlier this month, and has thanked Fremantle for what they've done for him since he joined.

"I have really enjoyed my time at Fremantle and want to thank everyone who has helped me over the past nine years,” Suban added.

“I am proud to be a life member of the club but feel like I still have a lot to give an AFL club and hope to play against the boys at some stage next year."
