The prestigious AFLPA Awards are set to be handed out for 2021 on Thursday, September 2. Here is Zero Hanger's guide to watching the event on TV or live streaming the MVP awards online.
The AFLPA awards ceremony is set to get underway at 8:30pm (AEST).
What is the AFLPA MVP Award?
Unlike the Brownlow Medal, which is voted over the course of the season by the umpires and has one winner at the end of the night, the AFL Players Association (AFLPA) asks all 18 AFL clubs to nominate three of their own players deemed worthy of the overall AFLPA MVP award.
Every AFL player in the competition is then asked to vote for the MVP from the list of nominees, however, are unable to vote for their teammates in this stage of voting.

Other AFLPA awards on the evening include best captain, best first year player, most courageous player, the education and training award, and the award for excellence in sports journalism.
