The Mornington Peninsula, Surf Coast, Yarra Valley and Macedon the four regions under consideration for the proposed AFL quarantine hubs, according to AFL Media’s Damian Barrett.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has been discussed that if football does indeed return, quarantine hubs that are heavily isolated will be the way to go to ensure the players and staff's safety against the disease.

The AFL are committed to finishing off the rest of the 144 matches in 2020, with no crowds in attendance also seemingly being more heavily considered.

The hubs could potentially cost the AFL tens of millions of dollars to get going, with the AFL paying for each of the 700 players and hundreds of other staff members accommodation costs.

A mid-July date for a return of football is what is being discussed.
