The AFL's finals ticketing prices have been frozen from last year with the league keeping them at a 16-year low.

The new pricing scheme, which was introduced last year, proved highly popular among fans, with supporters able to attend week one and two of the AFL finals series from just $35 for adults.

Entry level prices for the grand final have also remained the same at $180.

Supporters of clubs who are fortunate enough to make the grand final will also have a greater chance of attending the game with the league allocations an additional 4000 tickets to fans of the competing clubs, 2000 for each side.

The price of the AFL's top tier categories for grand final day have increased by three per cent, with Gil McLachlan saying the cost of holding matches had increased.

"Our commitment continues to make AFL games accessible and affordable for all fans," McLachlan said.

"We want footy fans to be able to experience finals atmosphere first-hand and we believe the price of all seating categories represents excellent value.

"It is reality that the costs of holding matches continues to rise and we hope the impact of increasing the price of some ticketing categories is minimised by holding the entry level pricing from 2016."
