Ben Brown's form has been one of the big talking points this season and one former player believes he would be the ideal fit for a team challenging for a premiership.
Former Western Bulldogs and Richmond star Nathan Brown believes Ben Brown would be an ideal fit for Collingwood if he decides to leave the Kangaroos.
The Magpies are in need of a key forward after the poor form of Mason Cox and the imminent retirement of Ben Reid.
Brown, who kicked 64 goals last season has struggled to recapture his best form this season as he tries to adjust to the Kangaroos new gameplan under Rhyce Shaw.
Brown was expected to sign a new three-year-deal at the Kangaroos worth a reported $750,000 per year, but under the current climate and reduced salary cap the Kangaroos may review their offer.
Former Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd said it is the perfect time for Brown to review where he is at in his career.
"It's not a bad thing for Ben Brown to sit back and go is this the place I want to play my footy at?," Lloyd said on The Sunday Footy Show.ย
"Is there another football club I could be at?"
Fellow panelist Nathan Brown then suggested the Magpies would be a good fit for the North Melbourne forward.
"If North Melbourne don't give him what he needs I think an opposition team like Collingwood are screaming out for a full forward."
"I think Ben Brown at Collingwood would fit."
Any deal for Brown would require Collingwood to find space in their already inflated salary cap.
The Magpies also need to re-sign Darcy Moore and Jordan De Goey.
