After looking at every side's average ladder position over their history on Thursday, we decided we would dive back into the history books.
So today, we're going to look at every side's all-time record in the finals, and see which teams perform best when it matters.
Similar to our previous list, this includes each campaign your side has been apart of, meaning some club's will have played over 100 finals, while the newer franchises will only have a handful of games to look back on.
Despite playing just 21 finals, the Brisbane Lions are the league's best side in September, winning 15 matches for a 71.4% record.
During a four-year period which saw the Lions claim back-to-back-to-back premierships in 2001-2003 and make the grand final in 2004, Brisbane won 11 finals and lost just two, including the 2004 decider to Port Adelaide.
Hawthorn are the best Victorian side with a 63.1% record through 84 games, with the Hawks prevailing in 53 finals, which has seen them win 13 premierships.
