The Western Bulldogs are the latest club said to be showing interest in Essendon's opening draft selection of Pick 4, with the Bombers continuing to field offers for the early draft selection.

The Bombers' draft plans shape as one of the strongest heading into the opening night of the count, with father-son pair Alwyn and Jayden Davey set to land at Tullamarine, while NGA prospect Anthony Munkara could also walk to Essendon should he still be on offer after Pick 40.

Also holding Pick 4, which is likely to extend to fifth overall following an early father-son bid for Will Ashcroft, the Bombers are in line to secure a young star when they first come on the clock.

An "extraordinary offer" will be needed for the Bombers to move back in the order, however the club is open to parting with Pick 4 and 22.

"It would have to be an extraordinary offer for us to give that up," Scott told NAB AFL Draft Countdown on Sunday.

"The honest answer is we don't know yet. It's the night before the draft and we're still discussing it, mainly because there are a lot of clubs really interested in that pick. There's been a lot of offers come our way… I can't think of too many clubs that have been able to trade into the top five over a long period of time."

"They're valuable for a reason, that's where a lot of the superstars and great players come from."

According to News Corp, the Dogs join Melbourne in showing interest in Pick 4 just hours away from the draft, with the Demons said to be offering their opening selection of Pick 13 and two future firsts in return for Essendon's first two picks.

The Bulldogs have Picks 11, 21, 39, 67 and 75 for this year's draft as well as a pair of future first-round selections - their own and Brisbane's.

Melbourne's pair of first-round picks for 2023 are likely in a similar range to the Bulldogs, holding their own and Fremantle's for next year, with those selections, and the Dogs' two, likely landing at the back-end of the first round.

The 2023 crop is already being touted as an overwhelmingly talented pool, headlined by Bendigo Pioneers' young gun Harley Reid, giving clubs like Essendon extra thought to consider gaining multiple early picks for 12 months' time.

All pick swaps for the first night of the draft will be finalised before the count begins, however won't be confirmed until the draft is live.
