The Western Bulldogs will be sweating on the fitness of two premiership players ahead of the side's round eight trip to Perth to face the Eagles.

The Bulldogs pulled off a thrilling come from behind win over the Tigers at Etihad Stadium last night, but the win could come at a cost, with Jake Stringer (knee) and Josh Dunkley (shoulder) both suffering injuries.

Dunkley dislocated his shoulder in the last quarter, which was put back in place, but he did not take any further part in the match and coach Luke Beveridge said post-match he expects the 20-year-old to be out "for a little while".

Stringer's knee was twisted under a tackle from Brandon Ellis in the third term and he will undergo scans to determine the extend of the injury.

He went down to the rooms before returning to the bench without any strapping, but he did not return to the field.

"I think it's a medial. Whether it's meniscus or ligament, I couldn't tell you. It could be both," Beveride said.

Meanwhile, Richmond's Nick Vlastuin will also have scans after injuring his right shoulder early in the game which ended his night.
