Western Bulldogs ruckman Tim English has inked a new two-year extension to remain at Whitten Oval until the end of the 2024 season.

English, who has gained reported interest from rivals club looking to lure him back home to Western Australia, has turned down any external advances in recommitting to the Kennel.

The 24-year-old is enjoying a career-best campaign under Luke Beveridge this year, averaging 22.25 disposals, 23.63 hit-outs and 6.38 clearances per game.

The club confirmed on Thursday that English has re-signed for a further two terms, becoming the latest Bulldog to secure their services to the blue, white and red.

“I’m really happy to have re-signed with the Bulldogs,” English told the club's website.

“The club is on an exciting path at the moment and I want to be a part of the success moving forward.

“We’re building a strong culture at the club that is built around playing our brand of football on-field and remaining a tight knit group off it.

“Having locked away the contract, I am really excited about the second half of the season after missing a little bit of footy to start the year.”

The 207cm tall ruckman has played 77 games for the Bulldogs since making his debut in 2017, having joined the club the year prior as the 19th overall selection in the National Draft.

English's signature follows a busy period of re-signings for the Dogs, who recently locked away Caleb Daniel, Bailey Dale, Buku Khamis, Mitch Hannan and Dominic Bedendo to new deals.

Concussion has ruled English out of Friday night's affair with the Hawks at Marvel Stadium.
