Gold Coast have acquired youngster Harrison Wigg from the Adelaide Crows.
The Suns have also received pick 54 and a future fourth round pick along with Wigg, while sending pick 39 the other way to the Crows.
Since joining Adelaide in the 2014 AFL Draft, Wigg impressed at stages during his time in the SANFL, but failed to break into the senior side, and did not make a senior appearance for the Crows.
"Harrison has had to wait for his opportunity playing SANFL since arriving at Adelaide,โ Gold Coast List and Strategy Manager Scott Clayton told goldcoastfc.com.au.
โHe plays inside and outside midfield & off half back, he wins his own ball & is a very effective left foot kick.
โHe also can set the game up by releasing team mates into space."
Adelaide's General Manager of List Management and Strategy Justin Reid wished the midfielder well, and said the deal suited both clubs.
โWe are happy to strengthen our draft position this year by adding an early third round pick,โ Reid said.
โHarrison is a quality person who is looking for more opportunities at senior level by moving to the Gold Coast.
โWe wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution over the past three years.โ
