Rival clubs are understood to be keeping tabs onย Geelongย tallย Nathan Kreuger, who remains unsigned for next season, perย The Herald Sun.

Kreuger's position at the Cattery could prompt further interest from rival clubs, withย Collingwoodย understood to have shown interest in the South Australian last year.

Trio of clubs about to get busy in recruitment

It's being reported that numerous clubs will have cash to make serious moves in the transfer market this coming off-season if they so choose.

Maybe unsurprisingly, the clubs are all currently sitting in the bottom half of the table and struggling in their attempts to play finals footy this season.

According toย Fox Footy's Tom Morris onย AFL Tonight, theย Adelaide Crows, North Melbourne Kangaroos and Essendon Bombers are among those clubs who could make a significant play in the transfer market.

Sydneyย are understood to be facing a salary cap dilemma ahead of the 2022 season, with a number of star players currently placed in contract situations that could prove to be burdensome.

Young defender latest sought-after Dog

Western Bulldogsย defenderย Lewis Youngย is attracting interest from a number of clubs who are keen to add another defender into their line-ups heading into next season, perย The Herald Sun.

The 22-year old has only managed five games in 2021 for the Bulldogs, and has played only 20 games in five years since being taken with pick 49 in theย 2016ย AFL Draft.

Young will likely have to move on to another club in order to seek more opportunities at AFL level.

Free agency stars seen as ideal targets for struggling Suns

SEN'sย Garry Lyon and Tim Watson have thrown out the names of two free agents who could assist the Suns in making a genuine tilt at a top eight spot in 2022.

Sydneyย co-captainย Luke Parkerย andย Geelongย serial ball-winner Cam Guthrie are both out-of-contract at the end of season 2021 and are yet to sign an extension with their respective sides.

Collingwoodย have been linked toย Sydneyย first-round selectionย Dylan Stephens, who isย believed to be weighing up his futureย in the Harbour City.

Stephens has played 14 games for Sydney in his two seasons at the club, finding opportunities inย John Longmire's team hard to come by.
