Adelaide midfielder Rory Laird is challenging his one-game suspension for a dangerous tackle, while Brisbane veteran Dayne Zorko was charged with making 'contact to the eye region' on Monday.

Laird's tackle on Brisbane Lachie Neale from the third quarter of Sunday's match at Adelaide Oval saw the Crows star charged with rough conduct by the AFL's Match Review Officer.

The MRO has graded the incident as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact, resulting in a one-game suspension.

Laird and Adelaide have come to the decision to challenge the charge at the AFL Tribunal in the hope of freeing the onballer for his side's Round 12 match against Gold Coast.

If unsuccessful at the Tribunal, Laird will be unavailable for selection this week and will be able11 to return in Round 13 when Adelaide host West Coast at Adelaide Oval.

Elsewhere, Zorko can accept a one-game ban for his charge following an incident involving Crows forward Luke Pedlar.

Following a tackle on Pedlar, Zorko's right hand is seen to make contact with the eye region of Pedlar, with the action gaining scrutiny from the MRO.

The grading of intentional conduct, low impact and high contact will mean Zorko is unavailable to play in Brisbane's Round 13 matchup with Hawthorn, which will follow their Round 12 bye, if he chooses to accept the charge.
