The AFL has locked in a star-studded ensemble of predominantly Western Australian artists to form this year's Grand Final entertainment.

Local music icons Eskimo Joe, Birds of Tokyo and John Butler headlined the extensive list of local talent that will look to ignite Optus Stadium throughout the day's proceedings.

Baker Boy and Men at Work's Colin Hay will be among those performing in the build-up to the first bounce of the Grand Final.

“It's a massive dream come true to get to perform at the Telstra AFL Pre-Match Show, a real bucket list item to get to cross off," Baker Boy said.

"I love footy, grew up playing footy and I always said that if I wasn't being Baker Boy that I would have followed the AFL path, so it feels really special to get to bring my two loves together.

"It feels like a long time coming after my Dreamtime at the G performance got rained out a couple of years ago, so it's a real honour to get this opportunity to come back."

The Waifs duo Donna Simpson and Vikki Thorn will also take to the stage, along with Abbe May, Stella Donnelly and duo Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse.

Accompanied by West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Birds of Tokyo will perform at half-time.

"What an absolute honour and thrill it is to be a part of this year's Telstra AFL Half-Time Show and have the AFL Grand Final here for the first time in our home city. The band is beyond excited to let loose to a full house. This is going to be all time," Birds of Tokyo's Ian Kenny said.

Australian music legend Mike Brady will continue his traditional chapter in the day's proceedings, performing Up There Cazaly from the MCG.

Noongar man Richard Wally OAM will conduct the Welcome To Country, while Amy Manford will perform the Australian National Anthem.

The Grand Final Pre-Match Show will commence at 4:15pm AWST/6:15pm AEST.
