The Herald Sun reports that Richmond will off their first pick in this year’s draft, which is pick No.6.

This would leave Richmond without a pick in the first two rounds of the draft, after the club traded away their second round 2016 selection as part of the Chris Yarran deal last year.

Prestia, who was selected with pick No.9 in the 2009 National Draft, is set toΒ earn between $700,000 to $750,000 per season in a five-year deal.

  1. They sack most of the coaches but keep the list management on the payroll and this is what they do? I’m very surprised about McBean thought he had potential now they will give away their first rounder. I guess it’s Richmond’s board ‘oh well, if it doesn’t work next year we might sack a few more.’

  2. Kicks it sideways and handballs every chance he gets – we will definitely take pick 6 for that. That means the Suns will have pick 4,6 and 9 plus Whatever we get for O’Mera.

    • Risky. If he comes good then are cos he’s more advanced than a fresh kid out of the draft but if he’s a dud it’ll be another Chris Yarran lol. I think since Martin, Rance, Cotch and Jack are aging they need to push for a flag sooner rather than later

    • Dusty doesn’t get tagged because he gets 70% of his touches on the back half, and I think Deludio will either be traded or played forward ( where he can seriously influence).
So yes, clubs will sit on Prestia early days until they realise that he doesn’t hurt you with the footy either. Imagine if they give pick 6 and that pick is a match winning forward (which is what they need to support Reiwolvt)

  3. Might be paying slightly overs on this one but if they start playing better will attract better players if they improve – my moneys on the coach saving his arse which a draft pick wont do for this season

  4. Lost the bloody plot, Richmond. Their list management decision making is bloody delusional. As good as Prestia is, he’s not worth wasting our only draft pick in the top 40 on. Richardson, Jackson, Hartley and Dimma make me sick
