Western Bulldogs defender Easton Wood has signed a three year contract extension to remain at the club until at least the end of 2018.

In a strong show of faith in the club, Wood becomes the fifth Bulldog to re-sign in the past three weeks, joining young guns Luke Dahlhaus, Jake Stringer, Jack Macrae and Jordan Roughead in inking new deals.

After being plagued with injury for much of his time at the Kennel, the 25 year old had his best season in 2014, playing 18 games, but broke his hand in round 20 to prematurely end his campaign.

The Bulldogs have enjoyed an impressive start to 2015 winning their opening two games against West Coast and Richmond with an exciting brand of football under new coach Luke Beveridge.
