It's once again the time of year in which we pin our hopes for happiness on some kids with potential.

As the draft is likely to yield far more questions that answers for the standard footy fan, we here at Zero Hanger have attempted to alleviate some of the ambiguity for you.

Here is a comprehensive list of future stars we feel each club should - if available - be taking with their first pick in the draft

Adelaide (Pick 1)

Riley Thilthorpe

When you have a homegrown 201 centimetre and 100-kilogram key forward available at any pick, quite naturally you select them.

Although it would appear on paper that the Crows actually have a wealth of talent in this area of the ground, expect Riley Thilthorpe name to be called by his boyhood club.

With Taylor Walker's best years behind him, Darcy Fogarty perpetually bouncing between the firsts and the twos and Elliott Himmelberg still cutting his teeth as an offensive tall, Thilthorpe should find a place in the Crows forward fifty before too long.

After a season of senior football for West Adelaide in the SANFL, Thilthorpe showed his class both as a lead up forward and at ruck contests, before a groin injury curtailed his year.

Thilthorpe has proven his ability to take the ball not only at its highest point, but is also equally adept below his knees. The 18-year-old's set shot is also technically sound.

Enjoy the highlights package, Crows fans. Just remember, he's doing all this at 18.
