West Coast midfielder Luke Shuey has revealed what Nic Naitanui said to Tom Jonas during the melee that followed Jonas' brutal hit on Andrew Gaff.

Shuey said that Naitanui told Jonas to apologise to Gaff as he was being taken off the field on a stretcher.

“I think Nic actually made Tom Jonas go and apologise to Gaffy while he was getting strapped onto the stretcher,” Shuey said on Perth radio station 6PR on Thursday morning.

“We thought that pretty funny on Monday morning watching the vision from behind the goals, seeing Nic grab Tommy Jonas by the collar of the neck and telling him to go apologise.”

Jonas received a six game ban for his elbow to Gaff's head, which left the West Coast star unconscious.
