Western Bulldogs veteran Dale Morris looks to have suffered a broken arm during a marking contest in the second quarter.

Morris went to spoil Gold Coast co-captain Tom Lynch, and awkwardly fell on his right arm, grabbing his forearm immediately.

Morris was taken from the field in the hands of the trainers, and walked straight into the rooms with the doctor holding his arm and wrist.

After featuring in 23 games in 2016 including all four finals, Morris has found himself in and out of the Dogs' line-up so far this season, playing just eight matches so far.

Morris played just three games inside the first 12 rounds, but returned against Melbourne in round 13, and hasn't missed a game since.

The 34-year-old will now likely spend the foreseeable future on the sidelines should scans confirm a broken arm, and given Morris' contract is up at the end of the season, his career could now be in jeopardy.
