Channel 7's The Front Bar has won the ratings war against Nine's revamped Footy Show in the premier edition of both shows on Wednesday night.
The Footy Show had a a major boost in ratings compared last year's efforts, but were still convincingly beaten in viewer ship by their Channel 7 counterpart.
Figures released this morning have revealed that The Front Bar averaged 278,000 viewers, compared to The Footy Show's 193,000.

The early signs are worrying for the Footy Show, considering it's revamped debut had the lead in of the popular Married at First Sight.
On a national scale, the Front Bar also won the ratings battle, averaging 511,000 to 343,000.
