Greater Western Sydney's Adam Tomlinson has signed a two-year contract extension with the Giants.
Tomlinson, who was set to come out of contract at season's end, will remain at the club until the end of the 2019 season.
Many had tipped the 23-year-old to seek a trade back home to Victoria at the end of last season, due to struggles to maintain his spot in the senior side.
However, after playing the final 10 games of the season and enjoying a rich vein of form, Tomlinson reaffirmed his commitment to the club.
The utility says his bond with his teammates outweighed his will to return home.
Tomlinson also said the Giants' faith in him was a key reason to repay the faith. Carlton made a late bid for the former No.9 draft pick with a tempting off of pick No.11, however, the Giants refused to part ways with the 201 draftee.
"The greatest thing that came out of that period and that rumour was the fact the club showed a lot of faith in me," Tomlinson said.
"Obviously last year ended up well but they showed a lot of faith in me [in 2015] to shut all those windows down and keep me on.
"It was great for me, it showed the club wanted to keep me at the club and was the foundation for me staying and re-signing this week pretty much.
"It's great being wanted and so that was a big part of my decision."
Tomlinson has played a total of 67 games in five season with the Giants.
