North Melbourne legend Wayne Carey says the Tigers should put under performing key forwards Ben Griffiths and Tyrone Vickery up for trade at the end of the year.

The Tigers, who have failed to meet expectations this season, should be a big player in trade period according to Carey, starting with cleaning a big list clean out.

“I’ve been bullish on Vickery, and it’s not a personal thing, (but) where is he at?” Carey said on Triple M on Monday morning.

“I thought he took steps last year, he’s taken a few steps this year at different times but he was just basically a passenger as was Griffiths on the weekend.”

Vickey has averaged just 1.6 goals per game this season, kicking 22 in 14 games, while Griffiths has kicked just 10 goals in nine games, averaging 1.1 per game.
