AFL SuperCoach is officially open for 2023, with coaches getting in early to build their first draft teams following the opening weeks of the pre-season.

While just hours in, thousands of SuperCoaches have begun selecting their sides and looking to find the right balance of premiums, PODs and rookies after months of scouting and planning.

As of the first morning, two Brisbane recruits lead the way as the most selected players for SuperCoach teams, with former Bulldog Josh Dunkley leading the way with 63% ownership.

His dual position status is sure to have him favoured more so as a forward, with Dunkley comfortably the first picked among forwards with an 11% buffer over former teammate Toby McLean - another DPP forward.

In fact, the top nine selected forwards all have DPP status, with returning Suns tall Ben King (25%) the most selected pure forward given his price of $176,300.

Dunkley's new teammate and top draft talent Will Ashcroft leads the way for pure midfielders at 60%, landing ahead of Demon Clayton Oliver (50%), new Tiger Jacob Hopper (47%) and young Roo Will Phillips (45%).
