Adelaide captain Taylor Walker has lifted the lid on one of the weirdest post-game pranks you'll ever hear.

Walker spoke to Triple M Adelaide's Roo & Ditts on Tuesday morning, and was still trying to get his head around an incident that took place on Friday night following the Crows' win over Geelong at Adelaide Oval.

While Walker himself wasn't actually at the scene of the crime, teammate Josh Jenkins - who was on the receiving end of Harry Taylor's antics - told him what happened, and Walker just had to confirm the story on radio.

“I wasn’t there when it actually happened,” Tex told Roo & Ditts on Tuesday.

“But JJ (Josh Jenkins) filled me in that when he shook Harry Taylor’s hand, there was a slice of ham in there.”

Taylor's actions surely refer to Jenkins' bad health during the week, after the Crows forward fell ill with food poisoning just days before the game after eating a bad batch of ham.

When Walker told the show, hosts Mark Ricciuto and Chris Dittmar were perplexed with Taylor's decision, and Roo just couldn't comprehend why he would go to all that effort.

“How could you prepare to do that on Friday night football?” Ricciuto wondered.

“Why would you bother? It’s not even funny, it’s very weird.

“He’s an experienced player. He kicked five goals; it didn’t affect his performance.

“What was he hoping to get out of it?

“Someone needs to asked Harry taylor about his warped sense of humour. That is very strange."
