Gold Coast officials have met with Jack Martin and his girlfriend as the gun midfielder weighs up his future, as reported by AFL.com.au.

The 24-year old will make a call at the end of the Suns’ 2019 campaign, as a host of Victorian clubs circle.

Carlton and Essendon were linked to him last year and St Kilda reportedly showed interest in April.

Martin unsuccessfully requested a trade away from the Gold Coast last year and has since put off contract talks to the second half of this season.

And after recently missing three weeks with a finger injury, Martin decided to wait until the end of 2019 to decide his plans for next year.

It is understood that Martin is a stronger chance to stay at the Suns than he was at the start of the season but remains undecided.

The club have recently locked away several rising talents on new deals, including Jack Bowes, Ben Ainsworth and Izak Rankine.
