Hawthorn could be in trouble with the Match Review Panel later tonight, with two key players facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Luke Hodge appeared to elbow Andrew Swallow in the face, while Jordan Lewis grounded Todd Goldstein with a late roundhouse hit to the face after a mark.

Hawthorn beat North Melbourne by 60 points on Saturday night with a highly physical approach.

Former Captain Sam Mitchell told 3AW Radio yesterday morning that the star pair apologised to the playing group after the match.

“Those guys knew that they let everyone down. They were the first ones to say, “Sorry boys, it won’t happen again,” he said.

Both players should expect suspensions of between two to four weeks for their indiscretions.

Steven May from the Gold Coast Suns could also face time on the sidelines after a high bump on Brisbane’s Tom Rockliff.
