The AFLW All-Australian squad of 42 has been named, with a host of stars and standouts getting the call-up.

Household names such as Richmond's Monique Conti (three times All-Australian), North Melbourne's Emma Kearney (six times), Western Bulldogs midfielder Ellie Blackburn (three times), Collingwood star Chloe Molloy (two times), Essendon's Maddy Prespakis (two times), Melbourne's Tayla Harris (four times) and Karen Paxman (five times), and Adelaide's Chelsea Randall and Ebony Marinoff (both three times) were all selected for the squad.

Collingwood's Jordyn Allen and Lauren Butler, Adelaide's Chelsea Biddell, Western Bulldogs ruck Alice Edmonds and intercept defender Katie Lynch, Brisbane's Tahlia Hickie and Breanna Koenen, Geelong's Georgie Prespakis and Chloe Scheer, Gold Coast Suns duo Charlie Rowbottom and Vivien Saad, Richmond's Eilish Sheerin and Courtney Wakefield, and St Kilda's Kate Shierlaw all earned maiden call-ups for the squad.

The Brisbane Lions boasted the most selections (six), while Adelaide, Richmond, Geelong, and Melbourne each had four nominations.

Hawthorn, Port Adelaide, and Sydney, on the other hand, all failed to produce a nomination in 2022.

The selection committee for this year's All-Australian squad consisted of Nicole Livingstone (Chairperson), Sarah Black, Sam Virgo, Andrew Dillon, Laura Kane, Kelli Underwood, Megan Waters, Narelle Smith, and Tim Harrington.

The final team of 21 will be confirmed and announced at the W Awards, held on November 22.
