Western Bulldogs star Jake Stringer has been ruled out of Saturday night's clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

Stringer suffered an injury to his AC joint in his right shoulder during the Dogs win over the Suns on the weekend.

Bulldogs General Manager of Football Graham Lowe said the forward is only likely to miss one game.

“The scans have come back and cleared him of any serious ligament or bone damage, which is great news," Lowe said.

“Based on the information we’ve got today, we’re optimistic that Jake is going to be in a position to be available for selection next week against Geelong.”
