SEN has announced Bob Murphy and Andy Maher will take over from KB & The Doc, with their new drive show kicking off next Monday.
Bob Murphy and Andy Maher will be available from 3-6pm from Monday July 29, with Maher giving up his afternoons spot to join Murphy.
Jack Heverin will replace Maher between 12-3pm for the majority of the remainder of 2019.
SEN has also announced the extensions of Garry Lyon and Tim Watson.
“All footy fans love Bob - he is a great conversationalist, has tremendous wit and observes the world a little differently,” Pacific Star Network Managing Director Craig Hutchison told sen.com.au.
“Andy’s star has never shone brighter and audiences of all platforms are realising what a wonderful host and selfless performer he is.”
“He is interesting, and interested and has a great connection with Bob.
“This show seeks to entertain and also broaden its approach to the day in sport and modern-day life.”
Murphy and Maher both spoke of their excitement at teaming up, with Murphy looking forward to beginning a permanent role in the host chair.
“I’ve done a two-year apprenticeship with SEN so when the opportunity came up to join Andy on drive, I jumped at it. I’ve known Andy for a long time, and I love his style. The show, like the game itself, will be filled with lots of light and shade and I’m looking forward to sharing that with listeners,” Murphy said.
Maher added: “What a cracking opportunity this is – to hang out with a player I always admired and a bloke I really like. We’ll come in here every day knowing what needs to be kicked around, but I’m certain there’ll be times the conversation takes a turn neither of us could’ve predicted.
“It’s going to be fun yakking away with Bob and this incredibly engaged SEN community in Drive. I can’t wait.”
